FAQ

  1. I don't like working out in the gym, what alternative do I have?
A lot of people don’t like working out in the gym for varying reasons. In these circumstances personal training sessions can easily be adapted to the comfort of your own home or mine!
  2. I have struggled with my weight and fitness for a long time, how will a personal trainer make a difference?
The purpose of a personal trainer is to provide a specific programme based on underpinning scientific knowledge. Each client will have an initial free consultation discussing barriers, objectives and goals in preparation to beginning training. Results will be achieved by having a continually adapted, challenging and progressive programme.
  3. How long will it take to see the effects of training?
The onset of training is approximately 3 weeks. This means that after 4 weeks training you should see some difference!
  4. Some people might notice results sooner.
  5. What happens if I can't make an appointment?
  6. I require 24 hours notice of cancellation, so that the session has the potential to be reallocated. Failure to give this period of notice would incur the cost of the session.
  7. How often should I exercise?
It is recommended that everyone exercise for 30 minutes 3 times a week to maintain conditioning. So those exercisers attempting to progress their conditioning should exercise a minimum of 45-60 minutes 3 times a week. It is recommended that at least 1 hour of this be with a personal trainer, to ensure continued development and to monitor progress.
  8. What equipment do I need?
The only equipment you need is suitable clothing and footwear. Clothes that restrict movement may not be suitable for the range of activity within a session. I will provide all other equipment for the session.
  9. How will progress be monitored?
  10. I will keep a detailed log of each session and you will be given your own 'Personal Training Log' book.
  11. How do I book?
